Quit smoking
Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health and the health of your family and community. It’s not easy, but good support is available for you.
Quitline has a team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander quit support specialists that are ready to help you on your quit smoking journey. The free ‘Yarn to Quit’ program gives you quit support, delivered over the phone, with a 12-week supply of nicotine replacement products (posted to an address you nominate).
Call Quitline on 13 78 48 or visit QuitHQ and fill in the 'Request a call from Quitline' form – one of the friendly team will call you back.
You can also get support from your local Community Controlled Medical Service.
The Deadly Choices program helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make healthier choices, including quitting smoking, and works in partnership with a number of local Community Controlled Medical Services.
